Forms
The Forms tab displays all available forms within your WorkPal system. This includes:
-
Standard forms provided by WorkPal
-
Custom-built forms created by our development team
-
Forms you have built yourself using the built-in Form Builder
Managing Form Settings
On the far right-hand side of the Forms page, you’ll find an option to edit each form's settings. This allows you to tailor how forms behave in your workflow. You can:
-
Change the name of the form.
-
Add an email address so that completed forms are automatically sent to that address.
-
Specify whether the form is to be completed before or after a job.
-
Choose whether the form should appear in the user-facing forms list.
-
Set the form’s availability to mobile users, desktop users, or both.
-
Change the file name used when the form is downloaded or exported.
Creating a New Form
To create a new form, click the “Add” button in the top-right corner of the Forms page. This opens the Form Builder, where you can design and configure a form to meet your requirements.
Forms that are created using the Form Builder are free of charge and can be edited at any time, unless they have been submitted to the WorkPal development team for advanced customisation.
Editing Form Layout and Design
If the form was created using the Form Builder, you will also have access to an option for editing its layout and design. This allows you to modify the structure, fields, and appearance of the form as needed.
Please note that if a form has been sent to our development team for advanced customisation—such as adding complex tables, conditional fields, or logic—you will no longer be able to edit it yourself through the Form Builder interface.
Saving Changes
Once you’ve made any adjustments to a form’s settings or layout, make sure to click the “Update” button in the top-right corner of the Forms page. This ensures that all changes are saved successfully.
Reports
The Reports tab operates in a similar way to the Forms tab but has fewer configuration options.
It displays a list of available reports within your WorkPal system and allows you to manage them accordingly. You can:
-
Add reports to your system from the list
-
Remove reports that are no longer required
While reports are not as flexible as forms in terms of customisation, they provide valuable insight into system activity and operational performance.
