How to Use Contactless Signatures

This article provides a guide on utilising the contactless signature feature within the app, allowing customers to sign documents without directly interacting with your device.

For Job-Related Signatures

To obtain a signature for a job:

  1. Navigate to the 'Customer Signature' option within the app.
  2. Select the 'QR' option, located at the top left of the screen, to generate a unique QR code.
  3. Your customer can then scan this QR code using their own device. This action will direct them to a secure link.
  4. On their device, they will be prompted to clearly print their name and provide their signature.
  5. Upon successful completion, a confirmation message will appear on their screen.
  6. The captured customer signature will subsequently be displayed at the bottom of the Job page in your app.

For Form-Related Signatures

The contactless signature functionality also applies to Forms:

  1. When a Form requires a signature, scanning the QR code will present a copy of the Form on the customer's device.
  2. The customer should then click the 'Click here to sign form' box, situated in the top left corner of the displayed Form.
  3. The signature process will then follow the same steps as detailed for job-related signatures.

Important Information and Requirements

Please observe the following crucial points regarding the use of contactless signatures:

  • Internet Connectivity: A stable internet connection (via Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required for contactless signatures to function.
  • iOS Compatibility: This feature is currently unavailable on iOS devices.
  • App Version: To access and utilise this feature, your app must be updated to at least version v3.5.6.
