How to Use Contactless Signatures
This article provides a guide on utilising the contactless signature feature within the app, allowing customers to sign documents without directly interacting with your device.
For Job-Related Signatures
To obtain a signature for a job:
- Navigate to the 'Customer Signature' option within the app.
- Select the 'QR' option, located at the top left of the screen, to generate a unique QR code.
- Your customer can then scan this QR code using their own device. This action will direct them to a secure link.
- On their device, they will be prompted to clearly print their name and provide their signature.
- Upon successful completion, a confirmation message will appear on their screen.
- The captured customer signature will subsequently be displayed at the bottom of the Job page in your app.
For Form-Related Signatures
The contactless signature functionality also applies to Forms:
- When a Form requires a signature, scanning the QR code will present a copy of the Form on the customer's device.
- The customer should then click the 'Click here to sign form' box, situated in the top left corner of the displayed Form.
- The signature process will then follow the same steps as detailed for job-related signatures.
Important Information and Requirements
Please observe the following crucial points regarding the use of contactless signatures:
- Internet Connectivity: A stable internet connection (via Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required for contactless signatures to function.
- iOS Compatibility: This feature is currently unavailable on iOS devices.
- App Version: To access and utilise this feature, your app must be updated to at least version v3.5.6.
