Tracking is dependent on:
- Connectivity – Your device uses data to transmit live tracking info to WorkPal. If you have poor connectivity (2G signal, etc.) the tracking info may be inaccurate.
- Reception – You phone needs cellular reception, as well as good GPS signal to get an accurate location.
- Battery Life – Your battery must be above 20%
- Battery Saving Modes – Some devices have a battery saving mode, which disables a lot of background services to save battery. This includes location services and background syncing. To get accurate tracking this mode should be disabled.
- Line of sight to satellites – ensure your phone/tablet is not left inside a vehicle, in underground areas such as tunnels or subway stations or left inside large buildings, such as high-rise towers. The device needs to be outside to communicate with GPS satellites properly.
Ensure the following preferences are set on your device:
- Location services or GPS – turned on at all times.
- High Accuracy Mode is activated on the phone or tablet – go to Settings > Location Method or Mode > set to High Accuracy
- Mobile data – must be turned on at all times.
- WIFI – must be turned on at all times.
- Battery Saving Mode – must be turned off at all times.
