WorkPal is designed to function optimally on a single device per user. Operating the app across multiple devices simultaneously can result in significant syncing issues. This happens because WorkPal syncs data with the first device it connects to and subsequent devices do not automatically receive the most recent updates. As a result, data entered or modified on the second device may not sync correctly, causing discrepancies and potential loss of information across your devices.
These syncing issues can lead to confusion and inconsistencies in your work, as the app may only recognise the data from the first device, leaving updates made on other devices out of sync. This can cause errors, such as missing entries, outdated information, or difficulty tracking the progress of tasks across devices.
To resolve these syncing issues and ensure smooth operation:
-
Ensure all items in the Outbox are fully synced: Before switching between devices, make sure that any pending updates, files, or data in your Outbox have been successfully uploaded to the cloud. This will ensure that the most up-to-date information is available on all devices.
-
Log out of one device: Once all data has been synced, log out of one of the devices. This will prevent conflicts between devices and allow WorkPal to focus on syncing with the active device, ensuring that updates are accurately reflected without interference.
By following these steps, you can maintain consistent data across your devices, prevent syncing issues, and improve the overall reliability of the app.
